Wadi Rum is one of the most extraordinary desert landscapes on earth — a UNESCO World Heritage Site of vast red sandstone mountains, ancient rock inscriptions, and Bedouin camps in the desert of southern Jordan. Known as the "Valley of the Moon," Wadi Rum has been inhabited by humans for thousands of years — the rock inscriptions and petroglyphs date back to the Nabataean period. The landscape was made famous by T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), who described it as "vast, echoing and God-like." More recently, Wadi Rum has served as the filming location for The Martian, Dune, Rogue One, and The Last Days on Mars. The experience of sleeping in a Bedouin camp under the extraordinary star-filled sky of the Jordanian desert is one of the most memorable in the world.

The Dead Sea is one of the world's most extraordinary natural phenomena — a hypersaline lake at 430 metres below sea level (the lowest point on earth), with a salt concentration of 34% that makes it impossible to sink. The Jordanian shore of the Dead Sea — the eastern shore — has several luxury spa resorts that use the mineral-rich black mud and the therapeutic properties of the Dead Sea water for treatments. The combination of the extraordinary natural experience of floating in the Dead Sea, the therapeutic mud, and the extraordinary landscape — the Judean Hills of Israel visible across the water — makes the Dead Sea one of the most memorable experiences in the Middle East.
