Seven Mile Beach in Negril is consistently rated one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean — an 11km stretch of white sand and turquoise water on the western tip of Jamaica, with the most spectacular sunsets in the Caribbean. The Blue Mountains are the highest mountains in Jamaica — a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising to 2,256 metres above sea level, covered in lush cloud forest and the coffee plantations that produce Blue Mountain Coffee, widely regarded as the finest coffee in the world. The Blue Mountains are a world away from the beach resorts of the coast — cool, misty, and extraordinarily beautiful, with hiking trails through the cloud forest, waterfalls, and extraordinary views over the Caribbean Sea. The most popular hike is the pre-dawn climb to Blue Mountain Peak (2,256m) to watch the sunrise — on clear days, Cuba is visible 145km to the north.
